Does unifi-controller replaces unifi?

I saw that a new container was created some days ago: unifi-controller
Will this one replace the other one? Is it safe to just move to this new container with the same /config folder?

Once we have released/announced it yes.

The unifi-controller image is still in development, and should not be used yet. We will officially announce it when we are ready.
