How to get clam in the nextcloud linuxserver.io docker image up and running

Hi,

my linuxserver.io Nextcloud docker is running nicely. However I would love to have clamscan in it with a running clam.d and periodic freshclam for nextcloud to use. I can install the packaged via INSTALL_PACKAGES but this does not automatically start the server or install a freshclam cronjob.

Is there any howto? What is the way forward?

why do you want it “IN” the container? you’ve mounted a data path, which is most likely where suspect files would be loaded, this data path is mapped to your host, so just scan the path…

as for the container innards, if you want to scan though, they’re typically in /var/lib/docker. tl;dr do you need to scan inside the container, generally
