HTTP Access what changes do I need to make

Hello,

with the latest update my iOS Nextcloud notes app stopped working and partially it is complaining about the HTTPS certificate being invalid. I do not have my nextcloud container exposed to the internet so I am just using it with an internal IP and I really would like to just use it with plain HTTP. I read somewhere that there are changes that can be made to the container to achieve that.

Can anyone help?

seems like it would be best to seek this guidance from nextcloud; our guidance is to setup a reverse proxy and use https.

yes, but is there a way to change the reverse proxy to HTTP, I think that is what I read somewhere. I in general don’t disagree with exposing the HTTPS port it just poses a problem when you are not exposing your container and are just using an internal IP.

i don’t see why this poses a problem, i have numerous (20+) things that are not exposed but are behind a valid and trusted ssl certificate.

our reverse proxy would not support something like this.

As i stated, it’s not something we would assist with as there is no downside or any real effort needed to use a proper certificate

You might have to check this but I always thought the iOS app only accepted valid Https and not http.

oh, I hope not…

Do you mind helping me how you got this set up?
