PHP Calendar extension not included in Piwigo container

Hi, I am using the Piwigo container (latest version 15.3.0) and have trouble doing some API calls.

The error message says that cal_months_in_days() function is missing which points to a missing/disabled PHP calendar extension as much as I understand. I cannot get the extension installed within the container myself, I suppose it should be part of the image?
