[Request] AnyType

I’m excited about AnyType because it offers me a self-hostable place to organize notes and knowledge. I’d compare it to Notion, where it’s still lacking in some features, but quickly catching up due to very active development! Some of the features like the local-fist collaboration and the “object” style of organizing things are very cool.

Here are the current instructions for self-hosting the backup node using docker-compose:

I would love to run this on my home server, but the process for configuring it seems like it requires more legwork than I’m used to. You first have to run a script that generates a .env file, then the makefile also seems to handle the docker execution? I wrote a feature request in their forum for simplifying this.

Today, I discovered LSIO, and am impressed with the great UX standards you hold your images to. I would be thrilled if you could use your group’s expertise to create a more cohesive docker-compose, or even to work with the AnyType team to improve their docker-compose experience.

Thank you for putting so much polish on your images!

I absolutely agree to the OP.

The fact that Anytype sync is somewhat selfhostable is great. But it’s looking more of a proof of concept than actually selfhost oriented software.

I hope the whole thing can be packaged together nicely by the community!
