PeerTube is an open source alternative to YouTube and similar video sites that serves up content not only via the main server, but also is assisted by P2P torrent connections.
Personally I’d love to use it to mirror some YouTube channels, because I don’t trust the cloud one bit to keep what I like.

I wouldn’t share my instance, it’s purely a local-only hobby project for myself, but of course some folks may want to share their instances. Not sure if there’s anything one has to accommodate for in either case beyond basic cyber security of course.
